Read, Download, Watch Video, Newsletter!
I have on this website health-related nutrition and herbal article, Paleo recipes, downloadable papers (Exercise Recovery PDF), a monthly e-mail newsletter (view sample). Sign up for my e-mail newsletter or send me a message on my Contact Page, or visit and “like” our Transform Health Facebook business page.

Read all of my herbal and nutrition articles here, or watch nutrition & herbal videos on Transform Health’s YouTube channel. I have an homemade Green Tea Latté video recipe, and information about foods that act like wheat in the body (video), for those of you new to wheat sensitivity or celiac diet. [These are called wheat analogs.] Hope you like all of these!

I studied nutrition, clinical herbal formulations, basic anatomy and physiology, detoxification, herbal safety, Bach flower essences and much more at Boulder’s Colorado School for Clinical Herbalism. I completed 330 educational hours in the Fundamentals of Medical Herbalism course, and then went on to complete 550 hours in the Advanced Herbalism course.

Herbal Education and Mixtures:
My herbal education focused on how to combine herbs together to meet the individual’s needs, sometimes combing several herbs together to enhance the effect needed. Foods have qualities like warm/hot/cold, and so do herbs. People can feel that hot peppers, garlic and ginger are warming or even hot. We learned to change the temperature of our mixtures in order to either make them neutral when appropriate (to not change a person’s body temperature), or alter someone’s temperature if it was too warm or too cold.

In addition, due to my own health issues, I have studied diets to starve out bad bacteria from Dr. McBride and Elaine Gottschall, books about gut bacteria from Dr. McBride, and nutrition from author and 1930’s National Dental Association President  Weston A. Price, its foundation website and conference, and author Sally Fallon Morrel’s book Nourishing Traditions. I’ve also enjoyed (and would recommend) Practical Paleo by Diane Sanfilippio. (I hope to have a page of Links soon…) I am a member of the Flower Society, involved with flower essences and essential oils. I have been a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation, as well (I need to renew!).

Previously, I studied graphics and website design at UCLA, and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University, California.
